THE PARTICIPATION OF THE KRYASHEN YOUTH IN CENSUS-2002 IS CONFIRMED AT THE CONSTITUENT CONGRESS

December 3 - on Monday the constituent assembly of the Union of the Kryashen youth of Tatarstan was held in Naberezhnye Chelny.

The delegates who have gathered from different areas of the republic have founded a new organization which will be an assistant to the Republican national - cultural centre of the Tatarstan-s Kryashens. At assembly the council of the youth organization is elected, the purposes and tasks of youth movement are determined, the charter is authorized. The leader of the union became a member of executive committee of the Republican national - cultural centre of the Kryashens (RNCC) Ivan Kuzmin.

Among the authorized purposes of the Union of the Kryashen youth - participation in national movement, assistance to intellectual, spiritual - religious and cultural education of the Kryashen youth, formation of institutions of civil society, creation teacher-methodical and educational programs for the Kryashen children and youth.

Vitaly Abramov, the chairman of executive committee of the Kryashens of Tatarstan came out at the constituent assembly. He reminded to the Kryashen youth that as far as their role was important in the epoch-making period of the history of the Kryashens, when the original Turkic ethnos professing Orthodoxy again found freedom and followed the way of self-determination. Abramov reminded that the Kryashens had been included by Institute of ethnology of the Russian Academy of Science and State Committee of statistics into the list of the peoples who will pass in a separate line at the census of the population of 2002.

Abramov noted that the leadership of Tatarstan learned about problems of the Kryashens after conference of November, 13, 2001 and they prepared a program of measures, called to decide their social-cultural and confessional interests, informs TatNews. Ru.
